FILMMAKING
An emerging filmmaker with a master’s in multimedia journalism, Jenni Denekas is interested in using animation as a means to evoke memories while simultaneously obscuring identity for members of vulnerable communities. Jenni’s work also incorporates cinematic footage, insightful interviews, and social and environmental themes.
As for the technical specs, Jenni creates work in formats ranging from social media reels to short-form documentaries (standalone pieces and series). She is equally comfortable shooting with a C70, an iPhone, or a drone, and is skilled in Premiere Pro and After Effects.

This demonstrates my versatility as a storyteller: I shot all footage (iPhone 14 Pro), edited it in Instagram’s reel building platform, selected the music based on what was trending to enhance post visibility, and wrote the social copy. I feel proud that it reflects the convivial atmosphere of the event, and that it was well-received by attendees and our other audiences.
