SHOP GINKGO BEAR CREATIVE STUDIO

This one-woman shop is run by Jenni Denekas, a born-and-raised Oregonian and lifelong artist based in SE Portland. Her colorful, expressionist greeting cards feature hand-drawn images that celebrate the beauty of the natural world—often with a dash of humor! Jenni also creates original paintings, illustrations, linocuts, and analog photo prints (the black and white ones are made by hand in a couple of Portland’s amazing community darkrooms).

Ginkgo Bear Creative Studio prioritizes supporting environmental sustainability and community resilience. All cards are printed in town by family-owned shops that use sustainable practices: Symbiosis Printing (digital) and Parklife Press (letterpress). Color photos are printed by the local photography mainstay The Shutterbug. Most supplies are purchased locally, with priority to responsibly-made materials. AI is never used due to its many negative social and environmental impacts—plus Jenni is sufficiently creative on her own!
